You're alone and dying of thirst in the desert. A man appears with a bucket of cool water. That bucket of water is the best thing ever 

Now, picture this: 

You're in the process of drowning. A man appears with a bucket of cool water. That bucket of water is the worst thing ever.  

Same man, same bucket, same water
