I can't believe I almost missed "Cupcake Week" in America.  It's about time this perfect portion (a handful )of sugary goodness gets its week of platitudes. If you've only been acquainted with Yankee Doodles or Hostess Cupcakes,  make a promise to yourself that you'll seek out and devour a "real" cupcake this week.
