Carnage Condensed

[SinglePic not found] Watching TruTV's Ocean Force you'd think that the beaches of California were more dangerous than the deserts of Afghanistan. This half-hour show packs in about 6 major stories, or "incidences" into every episode.Sting ray attacks, rip currents, flash rip currents, near drownings, limb fractures, lots of drunk and kooky people, and even car accidents and hang-glider attacks(!) would convince the casual viewer to stay away from natural water sources and settle for the relative safety of the municipal pool.It reminds me to always take editing and story-telling into consideration when drawing conclusions from anything I see . . . especially when its  not so obvious.
