In the third, an overnight stakes at a mile-and-quarter over the "firm" inner course, Exotic Indy, a 4-year-old A.P. Indy filly that ran sixth in the Ruffian last out and won a stakes at Monmouth two races prior, shattered her[intlink id="4310" type="post"]left hind cannon bone[/intlink] down the backside, then was grim sight as she ran around the course on three legs to the stretch, where she was euthanized immediately.
