Yes, the mess is true enough, however, it seems people are allowed to smoke all they want on balconies, which is VERY unpleasant for us non-smokers, especially when we want to enjoy spring and fall air with our windows open. I understand people don't want seed or poop everywhere, fine. But why then are they allowed to yell and scream, smoke like chimneys, and let their children yell and scream and pound all over the floors? I used to like living in a condo, but now I see that condos only enforce the rules they want to enforce. Further, no where in my rules did it actually say: "No birdfeeders," (I know, because I checked) but I was told mine wasn't allowed because the chain smoking neighbor complained about a little seed on his balcony (and I still have to put up with his smoke!). Sadly, I even know of some stand alone housing communities where bird feeders aren't allowed IN PEOPLE'S OWN YARDS either. What gives? Thanks for letting me rant.

In my condo complex bird feeders are not allowed on balconies because of the mess they create for other neighbors.
