Turkey Almost Kills Cat

 During the recent "global downpours" we've been experiencing in Massachusetts, I saw a large, dark figure pass across the window. I grabbed my camera, and held my breath, not sure what to expect. This is what that dark, looming and yes, quite sodden "thing" looked like:

So, in the fading twilight, I was able to snap a few quick shots, then retreat back into the house. It was raining. a lot.

I wanted a better vantage point, so ran up the stairs to the big room that overlooks the backyard. I carefully opened the window, then decided to leave the storm window right where it was, planning to shoot through it.

It was really too dark for that, so I carefully and quietly pushed up the storm window, which provided me with an open vista, so I could get a shot like this one:

Which, frankly, isn't very good, either.

 

As I'm frantically attending to important photographic details, the thought occurred to me that here I am standing in front of an open window, with two house-cats at my feet.
