Here are some remarkable images of the Tufted Titmouse engaging in a behavior known as "sunning." Although the bird appears drugged and/or injured/dead, I can assure you that these photos, like all of the images I have made only depict alive and healthy individuals.

This behavior is rarely captured, but it is fairly common. The birds engaged in this "sunning" display are not injured, sick or otherwise compromised.

Some believe that they do it because it feels good
